Who can use it

Buckingham shopmobility is for anyone, young or not so young, who has difficulty in getting around. This may include people with disabilities, elderly people or people who are temporarily less mobile, for instance because of a broken leg, pregnancy or illness. The service is available both to residents and visitors to Buckingham.

How does it work

It's so simple - when you use the scheme for the first time you will be asked to fill in a registration form and show proof of identification with your name and address - a pension book or fuel bill for example. You will also need to give us a passport size photograph of yourself. If you are using a manual or powered wheelchair for the first time, Shopmobility staff will be pleased to train you how to use it. Once you're happy and confident... off you go!

How can I get there

Taxi services can drop you eight outside the Shopmobility building. You can also use Dial-A-Ride (call 01296 330088).

What else is offered

Shopmobility has free car park spaces. Cushions, blankets and raincapes are also available.

Also short and long term hire of manual wheelchairs can be arranged.
